Location

The Hotel Montecarlo is located in the old town center of Rome, near Termini train station, in the quarter of the embassies and consulates that are just a few meters from the hotel, along with Umberto I Hospital, the University of Rome and the headquarters of many banks and private companies.

The subway B Line (Castro Pretorio stop) is 300 meters from the Hotel while the A Line stops at Termini train station, just 800 meters from Hotel Montecarlo.

The bus to Termini train station stops 50 meters from the hotel and, 150 meters away, you will find the buses and trams that go directly to Piazza Navona and Piazza San Pietro, the Imperial Forums and the Coliseum and all the city's most famous and beautiful places.

The Hotel Montecarlo of Rome is not only close to Termini train station, but is also one of the hotels of Rome's old town center near Piazza della Repubblica (less than a 15-minute walk) that contains the Fountain of the Naiads, the most beautiful modern fountain of Rome, and lively Via Nazionale, a favorite street for shopping in Rome (the most luxurious and exclusive shops are found in the splendid streets around Piazza di Spagna (the Spanish Steps), Via del Corso and Via Condotti, that are just a few stops away on the bus).

How to reach us

By plane

From Rome's Fiumicino Airport take the Leonardo Express train and get off at the end of the line, Termini station in Rome. The is 800 meters away; follow the directions under "By Train".
From Rome's Ciampino Airport take a shuttle bus to Rome's Termini station and follow the directions under "By Train".

The hotel can also arrange transfers for you from either airport. The cost is Euro 55.00 for 4 persons. For larger groups, give us the exact number at the time of the request

By train

The hotel is in the heart of Rome, just 800 meters from Termini train station. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the station or you can take the bus. If walking, take the Via Marsala exit from the station, cross Piazza dei Cinquecento, then follow Via Solferino and cross Piazza Indipendenza. Continue on Via San Martino della Battaglia and turn left onto Via Palestro where you will find Hotel Montecarlo at 17/a. By bus, take the 36 bus in Piazza dei Cinquecento in front of Termini station and get off in Via Palestro; the stop is 50 meters from the hotel.

By car

From all directions, when you come to the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare), take the Nomentana exit. Follow the signs for the "centro di Roma" until you reach Porta Pia. At the traffic light on the Piazza, turn left into Viale del Policlinico and, after passing along the ancient Aurelian walls for a bit, take the first right into Via Montebello. After about 300 meters, turn right into Via Castelfidardo and then right again into Via Cernaia and, finally, right again into Via Palestro. You've arrive; Hotel Montecarlo is at number 17/a.
